I have never been so happy to see Friday in my entire life. I lie. You know I say that every Friday right?
Because at the end of the week, this is me….
This morning I got up and did what I’ve been doing for about a week now, I planked. Yeah, I’m up to 2 minutes now. Go me. It may not be much but I’ll take it.
Two of the longest minutes of my life…..
And then I went for a run. Unfortunately, I only made it for 2 miles because for some reason I’ve got this nasty cough thing that’s been happening the last few nights and also for the past two morning when I’ve gone out for a run I’ve been really short of breath, like really bad. ME! I’m not out of shape y’all. Something ain’t right with this picture. By mile 2 I was a sweaty out of breath mess.
What is that cowlick thing happening? I ran for 23 minutes and I literally could not breath!
I might have to go see the doc this afternoon and check it out. The last time I was feeling short of breath I blamed it on my thyroid and I actually had bronchitis. I recently heard that people around here have been getting sick due to all the trees down and all the debris from the Hurricane.
There’s that and the fact that MacGyver and I dug a lot of nasty trees and shit out of our canal so God only knows what kind of bacteria and crap we came into contact with. I mean, it’s true our house down in Nokomis is on the water and it is a nice area and all but the canal is brackish and as my brother describes it, it most closely resembles motor oil.
See? Motor oil!
So yeah, I probably have typhoid fever or Malaria. Let’s hope not.
What are your plans for the weekend? We’re taking down another tree because, well, I don’t know why, we just are.
MacGyver and I are slowly but surely getting back into our groove and getting all caught up. We ended up at the walk-in clinic yesterday for lunch yesterday because MacGyver still has a heck of a cold and my sinuses were on fire because this is pretty much the story of my life…
But the good news is, I don’t have bronchitis anymore, and since I didn’t run at all the entire time that I was in Tennessee and Ohio I feel much better now and I’m running again! I’ve already run twice this week! And when I’m not running I look like this…
Go me, Go me, Let’s Party, Go me, Go me, Let’s Party. ( Don’t you love how the guy in front looks at the guy in back just to make sure he’s also doing the dance just to make sure he’s not the only one who looks like an idiot and the guy in back is all like ownin’ it like he don’t even care who’s watching. I like the guy in back. He’d be my choice of a friend for sure. Just sayin.)
Anywho, MacGyver and I are now feeling much better and getting back to normal. Hopefully by next week we’ll be all caught up. I have some more photos from my trip to share with you tomorrow and I also want to tell you about this really awesome town that I learned about. Oh and some really interesting running tech things that I’ve been using. All that will be coming up in the next week. Also, I’ve got a gift post coming up for the holidays and this year I’m going to do a craft post which a new thing since I’ve never done that before.
I’m also going to do the usual cookie post and some other baking post and I have a few other exciting things too but for today I can’t leave you in suspense any longer I’ve got the best thing ever. Cat farts.
Its Friday….and it started getting freaky way before the day even started. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it a hundred times already but my thyroid sucks ass and it has for at least 25 years or more but that’s not the point.
The point is that when my thyroid first went to shit one of the first symptoms was this weird shortness of breath and at the time I didn’t know it but apparently a lot of people with autoimmune thyroiditis suffer from this. Anyway recently when I started to feel like this..
I just assumed my body was attacking my thyroid again and so did my doctor and my medication was adjusted but so far it hasn’t really helped.
I have been running for the past few weeks virtually migraine free but my sinuses have been giving me a bit of trouble so yesterday I called my doctors office mainly out of desperation since I had planned on firing them but just hadn’t had the time to find a new one yet.
Imagine how surprised I was to find out my PA is no longer there!
Yeah I don’t really care.
Anyway, I went to a walk in clinic right around the corner from the house.
Somehow I ended up with bronchitis. How does that even happen? I guess that explains the shortness of breath.
