It’s Friday and I couldn’t be more excited. Yes I could, but we’ll go with that anyway. In truth the real thing that has me excited is the weather that’s coming down our way this weekend.
Look at this gloriousness, I cannot wait!
MacGyver has decided to go to the cabin because it’s probably the last weekend of cool weather we’ll be having until next winter. Mom and I are heading down to Venice because she is only here for another week and we like hanging out down there a lot. I’m seriously looking forward to running on the Legacy Trail especially in 50 degree weather, woot woot!
Since we’re talking about things that have me excited, let’s talk about this awesome video.
That video is on fleek!
I ordered 4 new t shirts this week and I seriously cannot wait to get them. I ordered these 3 first:
But then I found this one and went back and added it:
Because I love it!
I ordered them all from look human. You can find them on their website, here.
And before I go, let me tell you about one other favorite thing that I discovered last weekend and I’ll be enjoying again this week.
That my friends is a drink called a fishbowl and just for you, in honor of the weekend, here is the recipe:
10 Oz. Vodka
10 Oz. Coconut Rum
6 Oz. Blue Curacao
12 Oz Sweet and Sour Mix
2 Cups of Pineapple Juice
Mix all together.
Use 3 small fish bowls and line the bottoms with nerds candy and ice. Fill the fish bowls with the drink mix above and then drop 3 Swedish fish and 3 lemon slices to each bowl. Pour a little sprite in each drink for bubbles.
And there you have it! Not only does it look cute, it taste ah-mazing! Enjoy.
What are you doing this weekend? What was your favorite thing this week?
Happy Friday the 13th! Did you know this is the second Friday the 13th of the year? And we have another in November, three in one year. Crazy.
Anyway, since it is Friday let’s talk about favorites.
First up, this guy.
Chopsticks disappeared for a while but he came back last week and we’re not sure what happened to him but now he has tracking devices all over him. It’s sad but he doesn’t seem to be affected by them.
I don’t think MacGyver believed me when I told him how Chopsticks eats out of my hand, until he actually saw it. Never doubt a Doolittle my friend, never!
These guys are also favorites this week. I feed them every day as well, but they won’t eat out of my hand. They’re too busy getting all freaky and making duck porn to pay any attention to me.
Another favorite this week is making these baskets for the vacation house. This is my latest creation.
What do you think?
I learned a new way to do a plank recently and this week it became my favorite because I am actually seeing results faster than I ever have before. I might even be sporting a 4pack. Wanna know the secret? Well, instead of doing a basic plank turn your hands over with your palms facing up. Trust me on this one. You’ll see results much faster.
Last thing. These two jars of goodness and the person who brought them to me.
My Mom is here! And she brought us homemade honey and rock candy! It’s so delicious I can’t even find the words to describe it.
Now it’s your turn, tell me about your favorites this week.
We came down last night hence the reason for no post yesterday. I was a tad bit busy but enough about that, lets dive right in. Let’s talk about my Friday favorites.
First up, the Legacy Trail. Y’all know how much I love that thing, right? It’s one of the reasons I love to come down here so much and it doesn’t hurt that it runs directly behind my house. The only thing that irritates me about it is that when I’m not running and I see other people running, I get a little jealous. Runner’s problems I guess.
Another think I’m loving this week is my Vera Bradley bags, not just my new ones, but just Vera Bradley in general. You can put the kitchen sink in these bags and still have room for more!
This next thing I just got last week and I don’t know how I ever lived without it….
It’s from Scunci, the same people who make the hair bands. This thing is awesome! It’s a hairband with a built in visor and at only 7 bucks, you can’t go wrong. I am totally going to get my money’s worth with this one.
I’m also loving you tube lately. I will never get bored of workouts with you tube around because my God, there are billions. This week I’ve chosen something different every day and strength training has never been so enjoyable.
Last thing, Family. I am so thankful that we have the ability to spend some quality time with our family doing so many of the things that we love. I wish we could do this all the time but since we can’t, we’re going to really make the most of the time we have.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll be updating again soon…
