I heart running shoes!
No, seriously, I LOVE shoes. And I love my running shoes like nobody’s business. You should really invest in at least one pair of really good running shoes and I would suggest you go to a running store and have someone watch you run and help you find the right shoes for your feet.
Currently, I am running in the shoes listed here. Yes, I said shoes because I am in running clothes more often than not and I NEED different shoes to match; and also I like to have a variety of shoes for short runs, long runs, speed runs, trail runs, etc. So, heres what I’m wearing and why.
These are my Asics GT2160′s and when I first started running the 2150′s
were my favorite shoe so when they were worn out, I bought the 2160′s but I
don’t like them as much. I wear these on the treadmill for short runs under 5
miles.
These are my Asics Gel Nimbus 13′s and I love these shoes. When I first got them I thought they were a bit small but I’ve grown to love them. They are fairly light weight and I wear them alot on mid distance runs of 6-8 miles.
These are my Asics Gel Cumulus 13′s and I like them but they seem kind of wide so I wear them on runs outside when it’s a bit cold and I need thicker socks.
Oddly enough, these are the Gel Cumulus 14’s and I love them. I wear them on all of my long runs and in all races. These shoes are my absolute favorite fit for me.
These are my Asics Gel Kayano 18′s and I love these shoes. They are a perfect fit and this is my second pair of them. I wear them on any type of run on the treadmill or outside. I call these my go to shoes.
These are my Mizuno Wave Nirvana 8′s. They are light and very supportive. Great for any run really but I mostly wear them on long runs.
My Mizuno Wave Creation 14′s, they are so light and bouncy. I loved these shoes when I first got them but lately when I wear them my Achilles seems to hurt. I’m going to stop wearing them for a while and I will let you know how I feel at a later time.
The Mizuno Wave Rider 16′s. I just got these about a month ago and really haven’t had a chance to give them a full workout but I’ll let you know what i think in the near future.
These are my trail running shoes, the Adidas Trail Response and the New Balance 993. I don’t run trails often but when I do, these are my go to shoes. The Adidas are just a tad bit big but I usually wear thicker socks with them because I wear them when I am running in Holopaw.
These are the main shoes that I am wearing now. I rotate them constantly though. While you don’t need this many pairs of shoes, (or maybe you do if you are shoe crazy like me), it is a good idea to own at least one very good pair of running shoes. They will help you to avoid injuries and I promise it will be one of the best purchases you will ever make! That being said, please do not buy running shoes just because they are cute or to match your outfit. If they don’t fit properly you could be doing more harm than good.
What’s your favorite pair of running shoes and why?
I enjoy how you present and argue all the facts as well as your overall
writing style. At times, there is a scarcity of time to
read long pieces, but yours is brief and succinct, I spent just a couple of minutes to read the entire article.
It’s vital since no one has enough time to read.
Having a variety is so much fun! And shoe rotation can provide benefits both to the person and the shoe itself. Indeed, it also the best way to prevent injuries. By the way, we love reading blogs from shoe junkies like you! Keep on posting!
Thank you!
You have a shoe sickness. I love it!
I have a pair each of the following: Asics Gel Venture 4, Hoka One One, Karhu Fulcrum, New Balance WR1400, Saucony Guide 7, Brooks PureConnect..
.. and four pair of Brooks Ravenna 5. My Ravennas are my Soul Shoes.
And a pair of Brooks PureGrit 2 trail runners.
I’m a shoe junkie 🙂
Yes you are my friend, I think we are sole sisters! 😉
