I saw an article this week about what elite runners listen to while they’re running.
Do you have longer forefoot bones in your big and second toe? Because if you’re a runner, you probably do.
If you like reading scientific studies based on running, click on the image above. Some Japanese Scientist compared the length of the forefoot bones in runners and non-runners and the results are pretty interesting.
Our weather here was a bit cooler this morning. I took full advantage and went for a 6 mile run. I would have liked to go further but this week running has been a bit of a struggle for me. That’s okay, it happens from time to time and I’ll get through it. If I don’t finish the amount of miles I set out to run, I don’t beat myself up over it.
I know that this generally happens to me right about this time every year. As soon as the weather starts to get warmer I notice that I slow down and I am thirstier than normal. It makes perfect sense but it always takes me a few weeks to adjust. Patience.
I haven’t mentioned this yet but my Motiv ring which is about 5 or 6 months old had lost it’s battery life. Not completely, but the charge is supposed to last for at least 3-4 days and for the last month I’ve had to charge it daily because it goes down to less than 15% every 22-24 hours.
It was super annoying so I contacted the support staff at Motiv and they agreed it was an issue so they sent me a postage paid return label and I sent the ring back. I am still waiting on the replacement.
Except for this issue, I’ve been really happy with the ring and all the updates that they’ve made to the app, I just hope this replacement holds it’s charge the way it’s supposed to. I’ll give you an update once I’ve received it and had a chance to use it for a while.
