First let me just say that I do realize that Irma is a huge storm, no, the hugest. The absolute largest storm ever. The largest on record. I do indeed understand that, I do. And that is why we need to be prepared. Prepared. Not hysterical.
MacGyver and I are in Englewood right now with my sister and her husband and my niece and her husband fishing for our annual fishing trip. Of course, we would be expecting a hurricane, it’s par for the course. I’m almost certain it wont come anywhere near us but we need to be prepared and we’ll do what we need to do.
The meteorologist have all kinds of scientific equipment to help them determine when and where this thing will hit but it’s the weather and they tell you constantly that it isn’t certain and they don’t really know yet and they won’t really have a good idea until later in the week so don’t panic.
I did not panic. I went to 13 stores and located 6 cases of bottled water. MacGyver and I stood in line at the gas station and gassed up all the vehicles and filled up all of our gas cans yesterday. We went to Nokomis and tied down a few things and I’m going over there today to put away a few more things. Our hurricane shutters are ready if we need them and we’ll head home to Clearwater early if we need to but basically we’re preparing as we get the proper info. Basically we’re doing what we should be doing.
If things change, I”ll let you know. It’s still too early to tell what’s going to happen and we’re all ready prepared just in case.
WTF it’s Wednesday and we’re prepared but we’re not in panic mode.
