We’re back to the grind of the work week. Thankfully I was able to get a good five mile run in before starting work this morning which put me in a better mood and hopefully I wont bite anyone’s head off.
Please tell me that you’ve seen the documentary Grey Gardens. It’s one of my all time favorites. It’s not the best or most riveting documentary but it’s one of those things that you start watching and you just can’t look away.
I’ve seen it at least 30 times. Don’t judge.
Over the weekend I got a migraine which, if I’m being 100 percent honest, I had a mild one for several days leading up to Saturday so I didn’t run Saturday morning. Instead, MacGyver an I went to a bazillion garage sales and then it rained all afternoon so we watched a ton of movies including, you guessed it, Grey Gardens, with Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. I liked it. MacGyver feel asleep.
I was a total sloth on Saturday.
I made up for it the next day. Of course, because I have the best luck in the world, the weather went changed and by that I mean, it got warm and humid.
And I decided to run 10 freaking miles because I’m so smart.
And then I hit a level in my fitbit that I have never hit before. MacGyver went to Englewood to work on the boat and I decided to work in the yard and clean up around the house in Nokomis. Apparently I just kept going and going and going because I got something called a cleats badge. (If anyone has any idea what this means, clue me in.)
I guess it pays to be a sloth the day before.
We’re back at home now. Too soon if you ask me but we may head back down mid week since I can work from anywhere and we have some things we’re working on at the house down there that need to be finished.
Anyway, I’ve got one more thing I wanted to share with you. This is MJ Day. She’s the editor of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and this is a video she posted on instagram. It’s a powerful message and I couldn’t not share it with you.
I love it!
How do you feel in your bathing suit?
