So yesterday I told you about my favorite place to run near my house and I did one better by actually taking you along in pictures.
Well obviously, the creatures of Kapok Park did not feel that they were accurately represented in the post and felt that they needed some props so let me tell you my friends they decided to pull out all the stops and put on a show. Well, one of them did.
He gave me the run of my life.
This morning I left a bit late and didn’t really know what I had in mind for a run. I started out walking and then around a half mile around my neighborhood I decided I should just head on over to my park and run another four and half miles. I’m so glad I did.
For some reason there weren’t many people there and I made my way over the first path bridge and this creature peered up over at me.
I didn’t want to get too close so I just calmly snapped a picture and ran on. The next pass he actually came closer to me. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to scare him so I didn’t try to take a picture that time.
The next pass he stood right beside me. I just stopped and stood there and looked over the bridge and then I walked off and gave him space. I took photos as he ran off.
Goodbye Friend. I hope I see you again.
It was almost like he put on a show for me. Then he turned to look back at me and then ran off.
As soon as I started to run again two photographers with fancy cameras and long lenses came around the corner and yelled ‘did you see the bobcat?’ and I said ‘no, sorry’. I just couldn’t sell him out.
That was truly one of, if not, the best runs of my life.
Tell me about one of the greatest runs of your life and why.
