On Monday I didn’t really feel like running in the heat and humidity so I walked five miles but it seemed like it took forever and I really didn’t care much for that. That’s why this morning I decided to go ahead and run. I ain’t gonna lie it sucked just as bad as walking but at least I finished quicker, although not by much.
In case you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to run in Florida in the summer, it looks a lot like this.
It might be time to warm up the treadmill for the summer and my high powered fan. That sounds like a good plan.
Yesterday I pulled what I thought was frozen chicken out of the freezer to make for dinner but it turned out to be pork. And it wasn’t chops either, it was some other kind of pork that I’m not really all too familiar with, like loins or something. I tried to get MacGyver to cook it because I had no idea what to do with it but instead MacGvyer suggested we go to Smokey Bones. Who was I to argue?
I’m pretty sure that was the quickest I’ve ever gotten ready for anything.
We also called the kid and asked him to come along because MacGyver had a coupon. The only problem was we had to wait until 9PM because the guys wanted all you can eat wings! NINE. P.M.! Oh, the sacrifices I make….
I passed the time by taking selfies in the car but the lighting was bad.
We got to the restaurant a few minutes before nine so I ordered some wine. I’m not a big drinker so one glass is about all it takes to get me a little buzzed. I’m a cheap date. That’s probably why MacGyver loves me so much.
The guys obviously over estimated their all you can eat skills because they hardly put back 16 wings each before they threw in the towel. Wing wussies! I remained true to my healthy eating and ordered a dinner salad. And I ate every last bit of it. (Except for the croutons which I neatly stacked on the side of the plate.)
After dinner I was exhausted. Who stays up past 10PM on a work night?
This morning there is still the matter of the mystery pork in the fridge. Looks like I might have to google some recipes, (after I google pork cuts and determine what exactly it is.)
