WTF Wednesday, #@!% Candy!

So, I woke up at 9:30 this morning. Nine freaking thirty!

early bird

If only…..

That probably wouldn’t be so bad except that that’s exactly the time I went to bed last night on the PM side. So, yeah, I just slept for 12 hours… despite all my alarms.  Multiple alarms!

multiple alarm clocks
In case you’re wondering, I don’t have a cold anymore and I’m not sick, well not in general anyway, but there is a reason that I overslept.

Do you know what is worse than sending me to a running store with unlimited cash?  Me going to the grocery store AFTER Halloween when all the candy is 50% off.
Who spends $55.00 on half-off Halloween candy? ME!

I might regret it a little bit....

I might regret it a little bit….

I’m shocked I didn’t wind up in a diabetic coma because let’s be honest with each other, I ate about 10 pounds of chocolate and sugar yesterday. It was bad.

eat all the candy

So much for MacGyver’s plan of freezing it until next year…

Do you know what my dinner consisted of? Reeses Peanut butter cups and Halloween chips ahoy chocolate chip cookies.  I did manage to slide a glass of milk in there to keep my bones healthy, so there’s that.

That’s it. I’m done with candy for a while. I mean, Thanksgiving is what 3 weeks away? I’m staying clean until then.

Goals people, it’s all about goals.

Wtf, it’s gotta be Wednesday.

Now tell the truth, did you eat a lot of Halloween candy?  (If you say no, we are no longer friends, and you have freaky self control!)
Did you steal any from your kids?  (C’mon, you know you did.  My kid never got a reeses peanut butter cup on Halloween, NEVER 😉  I make no apologies. )

  1. 50% off candy is a disaster for me too! Halloween and Valentines Day always do me in! We didn’t go trick or treating this year (at a wedding) so I bought some variety packs for the girls yesterday and dumped it all on the floor so we could pretend we did!

  2. I get into trouble for this all the time. No … I ate no candy. I did buy some to hand out, but I did not partake. I have come to realize that no matter how often I run, or bike, or swim, or all three, means nothing if I don’t eat clean. I am a former 300 pounder, so I knows whats I says. 🙂

    • Hats off to you John! I love success stories. And you are completely right, especially as we get older, it doesn’t matter how much you work out, you can’t outrun a bad diet!
