So this week for throwback Thursday I thought it would be fun to re-visit some of my most popular post of the past. Time and time again these are the post that show up most often in my daily stats. I thought it would be fun to look back to see what’s changed, if anything, and what we may or may not have learned.
But first, since no post is a good post without pictures and this IS Throwback Thursday, here you go.
One of the most popular post that you guys are reading is this one. It’s a post that I wrote about moisture wicking clothing and the proper way to wash it. Apparently y’all are still some stinky asses because it is still searched many, many times a day! I still stand by my post and wash my clothing the very same way.
The only thing I would add to that post is how to remove stains from moisture wicking clothing and this is how I do that. Fill a bucket with cold water and add 1 cup of Oxi Clean. Soak the stained clothing in the solution for 24 hours, then wash with your other moisture wicking clothes. Oxi Clean is amazing and it has gotten stains out of every item of clothing I own, seriously.
Another popular post is this one that I wrote about my unfortunate bladder. It seems that I am not alone and there are many female runners with the same problem. Not much has changed since I wrote that post, my bladder is still living several hundred miles south of the rest of my body. I haven’t heard of any new products available but if you know of some, please feel free to leave a comment.
And if you happen to be one of those people who found that post through one of those creepy sites, this meme’s for you.
The next post was written about a very serious subject, Exertional rhabdomyolysis. Lately this has been searched for thousands of times and it makes me sad. I hate to think of anyone suffering from this. It’s great information to read if you’re a long distance runner or you spend a lot of time in the gym but for quick reference, if your urine looks anything like this,
see a doctor.
The last two posts are tied and I want to re-visit both of them because they are also two of my favorites.
The first is a true story about how my treadmill tried to kill me. If you haven’t read it, please do so at a time when you can laugh out loud because although it’s a bit of a cautionary tale, it’s also funny.
And lastly, this open letter that I wrote to Nabisco when they had the nerve to deny me of the Candy Corn Oreo’s that I so craved. If you are also a little peeved about the decision to make this a limited time option, read that post.
Hope you enjoyed this edition of Throwback Thursday and I’d love to hear one of your favorite things from the past, or the present, I’m not picky.
C’mon now, show me some love!
