People who practice yoga can’t deal with their emotions? huh?

I ran 8 miles this morning. Easy miles. Well, they were meant to be easy. They weren’t. Mainly because my legs are still killing me after doing all those squats. I have no idea how some of you do leg workouts so often, I just can’t even….

But, I know that if I want to continue to run and improve then I need to do strength training. So, I’m committing to 2 days a week for leg work. I think I’ll stick to the 3rd week of January each year.

Nah, I’m kidding, February is probably better for me…. No seriously, I think leg work is pretty awesome, well minus the pain the day after.

You know what else I think is awesome? Yoga. And I have to say I was a little more than pissed when I saw this article.

Tracy anderson hates yoga
I’ve never really been a fan of Tracy Anderson anyway and this is just one more reason why. Why would you slam an entire group of people because your Uncle smokes weed? That’s idiotic and stupid Tracy Anderson. You have no idea what you’re talking about. If you don’t understand what yoga is all about then maybe you should visit this girl’s site. She could teach you a thing or two.

Moving on….

MacGyver and I spend a lot of time going down to our home in Venice and our cabin in Holopaw. I don’t have all of the things at my disposal that I do when I’m at home so I’m always looking for quick and effective workouts that I can do with no equipment. I saw this article recently and I’ve done the workout twice already and it’s pretty good so I thought I’d share it with you.

Creative ways to do cardioI’m really trying hard to focus on other areas of fitness to compliment my running and help me improve. Cross training and strength training are areas that I’ve been lacking in and so I’m determined to incorporate both this year.

And since I’m always looking for workouts that will keep me motivated, I welcome your suggestions!

So tell me, what’s the one workout you do that keeps you motivated?

Do you use any of Tracy Anderson’s workouts? (I tried the method workout but she pissed me off when she said ‘women shouldn’t lift heavy weights’. Oh, and also, I prefer the instructor to look at me or the class and not look in the mirror. You would think the producer of her videos would tell her that!)

    • It made me ragey, for sure. I’ve had many issues with her over the years but most importantly, I just think she spreads ignorance and it pisses me off that she has such a large audience. #passlove
