Don’t interrupt me and active wear for 5 bucks today only.

Happy Saturday!

This is just a quick post this morning because I have a ton of things to get done around here. I’ve already finished my run for this morning. It wasn’t the best run ever, just 8.6 miles in crazy humidity, but it’s done.

Running in the Heat

I walked a ridiculous amount of time but mostly because I ran into a ton of people I know and I had to stop and say hi. You know how that goes.

Yesterday MacGyver and I went to Smokey Bones for dinner. While we were there we started talking about my race schedule and I mentioned that I’m going to do a full marathon in the late fall and then in January I’d like to run the new Clearwater Ultra 50K to which he replied, “Are you out of your mind?”

Why yes, I am, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to do it. If I had any doubts before they were all squashed by MacGyver’s reaction.

He should know better by now. Never tell me I can’t do something….jeez.

Lastly, in case you didn’t get this email, if you have an Old Navy near you, you really should go shopping there today….

  1. I am the same way. The easiest way to assure I will do something you don’t want me to do is tell me I can’t do it. Sounds challenging. I look forward to following you on this journey!

  2. Scary stuff, but a determined mind can do anything! I will wish you all the luck in the world, and will support you on your training journey. I am the same way with people telling me I cant do something…but thankfully noone has told me I cant run a 50k yet hahah!

    • Thanks Tina! I plan on putting in some serious training and as long as pay my ‘training dues’ I think I can do it πŸ™‚

  3. Oh my goodness! I love Old Navy active wear! So buying some new stuff! Thank you for sharing!

I’m the same as you. Nothing stops from doing something I want to do.

  4. What the heck?! I was just at old navy yesterday and thought I got a good deal on my running capris! $19 is not a good deal compared to $5! If the store was closer I’d so take them back..
