Welcome to 2014!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2014. We are back from the cabin in Suburban Estates in Holopaw, Florida and here are some highlights from the last few days:

Hank was very excited to go…he tried on his new jacket and waited by the window for Daddy to load the quads.

After 30 minutes through the mud, we reach the Cabin:

The dogs were very excited to get there.

I might have been a little excited too:

After the bonfire was lit, we got to shooting:

Then we met up with Frank and Rosie to go riding:

Riding in the field

We saw some pretty cool things along the ride including a sailboat which was just sitting all alone in the middle of a field. And I also got some pics of some cypress trees.

After we got back, we finally installed a toilet! And I was pretty happy. Now we just need walls around it…Next trip….

And then we celebrated New Years Eve…

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year

We got home late New Years Day. We are ridiculously exhausted but we had a wonderful time. I’m looking forward to a happy and healthy New Year and I wish the same for you. Now, I need to get some sleep and apparently so does someone else:

How did you celebrate the New Year? Tell me what you did today.

  1. Happy New Year! You have such a fashionable pup. Love all the outfit changes. Eating Smores by an open fires seems like a wonderful way to ring in a new year. I rented a hotel room and lounged around the heated pool.

  2. Happy New Year. We went to Stone Mountain. Ran 5 miles around the base and hiked 2 1/2 miles up and down the mountain.

    • Happy New Year, I’m so jealous, I love Stone Mountain. I havent been there in ages. Sounds like you had an awesome day!

    • Happy New Year! Sounds like you got a lot accomplished! I’m still working on it but hopefully I’ll get it done soon, πŸ˜‰

  3. I love your new potty! HaHa!

It sounds like you had a very nice trip. We had a quite and uneventful New Year’s Eve since the boys had other plans. Bill and I went on an evening run and then came home and hopped into the hot tub. I trained clients this morning, and then after an early afternoon run with my BRF, I’ve chilled all afternoon.

    • It sounds like a great time! I wish I could have run but it wouldn’t have been to smart in the mud with all the quad riders, it’s been 4 days since I ran and I’m going crazy! Happy New Year!
