A quick update from a sloth in training….

Today was the first day that I got less than 30 visits to my site for the search term ‘girl peed her pants’. I suppose that’s what I get for writing posts like this. I can only imagine what kind of sickos would be visiting had I written about pooping my pants. (I’ve never done that, yet, in case you’re wondering.)

Anywho, I am a lazy sloth today. It was raining when I woke up this morning and I just never felt like running today, so I didn’t. I also didn’t feel like strength training, doing yoga, lifting weights or getting off the sofa.

I did however, enjoy watching several old episodes of Dexter on Netflix, taking not one but two, yes two naps with the dogs, and eating ice cream straight out of the carton. Tomorrow, I need to be a little more productive….


Tomorrow, I have to get some work done and then I’m working on my race calendar…anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Haha I’ve had my fair share of days like that, sigh. But good thing is I can get right back at it the next day (or the next lol). I’m also going to come right out and say how proud I am that you haven’t pooped your pants. I’ve seen it happen to a Ragnar teammate once and it wasn’t pretty and he will probably nvr live it down…..poor guy

    • Ha! I love it. I’m sure eventually I will poop my pants, it’s only a matter of time….and then I’ll get rich because I will totally invent a sparkle skirt with a built in diaper! There’s a need, I just know it!

    • I am constantly getting sucked in to series on netflix mainly because i have no patience and I can watch the whole series in a few weeks or days, LOL

  2. I have had page views based on searches for “why do I poop when I run?” Several times a week … heh. 🙂

    Lazy days with two naps are awesome, snuggling with the dogs make it even better.

    I binge-watched the entire first season of Orange is the New Black over the weekend and watched the final two episodes while doing my 2hr long run on the treadmill. If you haven’t seen it I recommend you do!

    • LOL, I totally watched the entire season between Christmas and New Years and now I’m jonesin for season 2…cannot. wait. much. longer. LOL

  3. I think we could start a support group for those who are disappointed with our daily views. Wait, isn’t that what we did? I’ve enjoyed reading many of these posts.

    The occasional lazy day is ok, it rests tired legs and is also good for the soul. Muscle memory is an amazing thing, you’ll be surprised how good you feel the next time you lace them up.


  4. This sounds like an online support group. I’ve sometimes made a tongue in cheek reference in blog posts mentioning my three or four regular readers.

    Lazy days are ok from time to time. It gives the body a much-needed rest day and it’s also good for the soul as well. Muscle memory is an amazing thing and you will be surprised how good your legs feel when you lace them up and go.

    I write this as I debate whether or not to go to the track tonight for a tempo run.


  5. The 30 visits a day for “girl peed her pants” is from me. I just can’t find enough time to do it any more than that in a day. lol. j/k 🙂 I know after a rest day, I usually feel much better the next day and my workout is better for it.

    • HaHa, I knew it was you, LOL. I did feel better today so I guess I needed that rest and I’m back to being productive. 🙂

  6. I am honestly disappointed with my view count on my blog everyday. I did here that they said not to make your blog post too long…and then others say make it long cuz you look more credible…then I read they said make everything free…give free advice….and use words like moron and idiot…so if you notice my last post…I called myself a Moron…you would have to know me well to know I am just kidding around…I guess what I am trying to say is that I am still trying to figure out that one thing that will help my blog get the amount of views I want.

    • I get frustrated with my views too. I think everyone does. I find that even if I write about something that I think is awesome other people may not think so; and then sometimes I write something quick and random and I get a ton of pageviews. It’s hard to tell what works – but for me I just write what I want to write and I hope people will read it, but if they dont that’s okay too because if I think about it too much or try to write for other people it’ll be more like a job and Lord knows, I HATE to work, ha! 🙂 Hang in there, your a sweetie and I love reading your blog and Im sure there are a lot of other people out there that do too 🙂

    • I think I live under a rock sometimes because even though I had heard of Dexter I never watched it until recently and in only 3 weeks, I have power watched the first 4 seasons and most of 5. I’m so addicted but sad that it ended too. It’s an awesome show.

  7. Uh, you are far from a sloth! I just discovered Dexter on Netflix and I am hooked, but now they added more seasons and there is no way I will get through them all. Hope you enjoyed your rest:)

    • Thanks Kristin. I cannot believe I just discovered Dexter! It’s pretty awesome and I’m almost through Season 5. On the rare occassions that I have a chance to watch it, I power watch TV. 🙂

    • We should start a club. I would totally rock as president of that kind of club and you can be my vice pres. 🙂 The all day everyday pj club! I think I love it.

  8. We all deserve lazy days. It’s our body’s way of telling us to slow down. 🙂
    I started working on my race calendar today. I got to June then there were only one race a month all the way through December. My first race has to be virtual. :-/ a 5k on January 25th. I will probably do quite a few virtual races so I can get my 14 races in this year. So far I’m not off to a good start.

    • Neither am I but I’m gonna work on it. Racing is so much fun but I really shouldn’t try to pack all those halfs and a full or two into a span of 3 months. Racing fun, my planning baad….must learn to plan. 🙂

  9. Here I was thinking I was the only one being useless today. Nice….,, tomorrow its back to training. I’m doing the Tallahassee Half next month.
