I didn’t want to admit it but after I finished my last race, I was a little sad. It was my 12th race of the year and even though it was a great race (as far as races go), I ran it with a migraine and I was miserable and I really hated ending the season that way. I was sad.
And that wasn’t the only reason. It was on the 12th race of the year and my plan had been to run 13 races in 2013; and I had just gotten some new shoes!
It wasn’t all bad I guess, I mean I could just play another sport and cross train. I mean, there’s always basketball:
or I could become a professional skateboarder:
Or a professional Jump Roper, (is there such a thing?):
Or I could learn to salsa dance, I’d really like to do that:
No? No, none of that made me feel any better. And then a fellow Tampa Bay Blogger mentioned she had a bib for the just say no 10K. (A race I had run a few years ago and had really wanted to run again.)
“You’ve got a bib”, I said?
And now I am getting ready to lay out my clothes for my 13th and final race of the year which I am running at 8am in the morning and I am a happy dog lover girl!
And to all, a good night!
Are you running a race this weekend? Ever decided to run one at the last minute?
Fellow blogger to the rescue! haha That is great you were able to meet your goal of 13 races.
I am really glad because with my OCD, I would have never gotten over it. hehe
Love all the dig pix! How was the race??
Thanks, it was awesome, I PR’d 🙂
Sweet! 13 in 13!
Yep, done and done. Now on to the next year….big plans! To be announced…
How did all those gifs not make you feel better? LOL. LOVE the one of the dog catching the ball.
I know, right? The one catching the ball looks just like my dog Ruby who passed away this year and I swear she used to do that with a a soccer ball. It was the cutest thing ever.
Awesome! Close out the year with a bang!
Yep, that was definitely my fireworks! 🙂
Crush it tomorrow! I will have to admit, I’m a little jealous that you have a race tomorrow. I don’t have one until February at this point. I need to do something about that.
Yes, you do. I say sign up for a little 5K in January on a whim and have a blast. Sometimes those last minute races are the best!
Hope you kill it tomorrow – and finish this race year with a bang – good luck!!!
Thanks Michelle.
P.S. I killed it 😉
