13 was my lucky number…and today was my day!

Y’all, 13 is my lucky number!

Just Say No 10K

I’ll recap this race a bit later because I’m a little exhausted right now but heres a quick update.

Yay, yay, yay

Oh.My.God. I PR’d! Hells yeah! Of course I pr’d under someone else’s name because it wasn’t my bib but I don’t care, because this race was TOUGH! We had to run the big Memorial Causeway Bridge in Clearwater. You may remember me talking about this bridge before in this post. It’s a bear. No really, it looks like this:

And we had to run over it and then back over it! And it’s a long bridge. I’m pretty happy that I practiced running a few hills this past week. I also scaled back on my miles a bit and foam rolled like a crazy woman. Guess what?

The Elite Runners

It worked!

And after the race, I went to the fishing pier and down to the mooring dock where MacGyver picked me up in the boat and we did this:

Clearwater, Florida

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Clearwater with temperatures around the mid 80’s. It was a perfect morning for a race and a perfect day for fishing. I hope your day was perfect too.

What did you do today?

    • Thanks Mindy, that bridge does suck but now I’m so determined to run it at least a couple of times a month and get way better at it. 🙂

  1. Congrats on the new PR. What a way to end the year! Love bridges. I love running over bridges. Enjoy your nap 🙂

I am working today. Just reading a few blogs here and there on my breaks 🙂

    Happy holidays!

    • Thank you. I’m glad I was able to do that last one or else my year would’ve ended on a sour note, thanks to the migraine. 🙂
