Millennium Falcons and a half marathon on the horizon.

Oh Monday, you make me soooooo tired. I was just getting used to not having to be on a schedule and then you sneak right back up on me. *sigh*

Running on Monday

I ran 3 miles this morning in ridiculous humidity. Only 3. Because high humidity is even worse in the winter and I refuse to participate in its hair frizzing, sweat soaking party anymore. So take that humidity and leave me alone! I’m over you.

Check out the two latest kitchen toys that I got:

Star Wars Pancake Forms

The wiener dog hot dog slicer, seriously, I die,(a gift from the Kid); and the Star Wars Pancake forms are the most awesome thing ever. My Mom and I picked up the pancake forms at Williams Sonoma when she was here last. This morning I got up super early and made Tie Fighters and Millennium Falcons for breakfast.

Yes, I am painfully aware that all of the people in my house are over 18 and we are nerds and it’s okay, I’ve made peace with it.

Womens running St. Pete

So I got an email from Women’s Running St. Pete today. It was the confirmation sheet, parking and expo info. The expo starts Friday but I think I’ll go Saturday morning to pick up my number and timing tag. The expo is being held at the The Renaissance Vinoy Resort and it’s a beautiful place. I also want to make sure I get to look at all the products and visit all the exhibitors. I’ll make sure to take lots of pictures. I’m getting super excited about this race and a little nervous too.

I need a buddy like this guy has:

Cheerleader

When is your next race? Be honest, are you nervous?

  1. I totally rocked my half this past weekend. Yes, I ran the half though I had decided on the 10k. When I got there, I just had to run the full distance. Lol.

My next race is a full marathon in 3 weeks. True, I am nervous, but I’m more excited than anything! It’s a super small race, but it’s going to be so fun. At least that’s the plan.

    • That is so awesome, and that race sounds like so much fun. You will rock that full too! I love fun races more than anything, sometimes that’s just the ticket to having a great race, just have fun, 🙂

  2. You are so funny! I got my race info today too…. Mass email! I do hate how it sounds so official and warning that only ” you” can pick up the race packet….. Like would someone really try to steal my race identity??? Lol. I did really enjoy this race last year BUT it was much cooler…. I’m with you this weather SUCKS ( and I don’t even like that word but it’s true…..) I too ran 3.5 Saturday am on the “dread mill” cause of rain but then did a cycle class for an hour and then ran the causeway later that afternoon 5.50 …. Soooo not the long run I wanted but oh well…. Since then I’ve only logged in another 4 miles and another cycle class AND I’m eating crap!!!!! I need to get my act together before Sunday…..hopefully longer run tomorrow am before school … Sigh…. And yes I get very nervous before a race ….. Geez you’ve been doing so many lately nothing should phase you!!!! 🙂
