Well I may be taking a few days off from running but I sure am making up for it in walking! Last nite I walked 3 more miles bringing my total to 7 for yesterday and today I walked 4 this morning and 3 again tonite. Not bad.
I had an interesting day today. The kid had a vacation day today so he decided to spend the day with me, no really, I didn’t have to guilt him into it or anything. We actually went to the mall and he bought me some new running shoes for Mother’s Day. (I have a pretty great kid).
I wanted some new Asics Gel Cumulus because mine already have around 400 miles on them so they are close to spent.
I heart you Asics Gel Cumulus!
But I also like Brooks and since my Adrenaline’s have been spent for about a year now and Brooks had this advertisement on their website:
I had to go try on these shoes and run around the running store:
And guess what? The Kid bought them for me! I’m sorry Cumulus 14’s, we had a good run but there is a new love in my life and his name is Brooks Pure Flow 2. I can’t wait to run in them.
After shopping we had a treat at one our favorite places:
And then I came home and made one of my favorite dinners, Cobb Salad.
My recipe is a bit modified but here is what I put in:
1 Bag of Garden Salad Mix, 6 Pieces of Sliced Turkey, 6 Pieces of Sliced Ham, 4 Tomatoes, 1 Cucumber, 3 Hard Boiled Eggs, Goat Cheese, Light Ranch Dressing.
Serves 4
Hope your day was as great as mine. Any day I get to hang out with the kid is one of my best days ever! Love ya Kid!
Have you ever made a Cobb Salad? What do you put in yours?
