First, the workouts:
Saturday, I ran 14 miles on the legacy trail.
Sunday I ran 6 miles on the legacy trail.
Monday I ran 3.1 miles in my neighborhood and this morning I ran 5.7 miles, mostly hilly areas, well the hills I could find anyway, being that this is Florida!
We spent Easter Weekend in Venice and it was lovely. I’m so thankful for the memories of this past weekend because unfortunately, my Ruby Doo got very sick and threw up after her swim on Easter and so we brought her home that night. She continued to get worse and she died very early in the morning on Monday. I was and still am devastated.
She is in a much better place now, free of all the pain that plagued her for the past year. You can swim whenever you want to now my baby girl.
We buried her beside her sister by her favorite place, our pond where she loved to swim. I feel like I have an angel now to watch over me and I am so thankful for every moment that I had with her. She will live in my heart forever. She was a GREAT dog! The best.
My Mother wants me to run the Athleta Iron Girl Half in her honor and that’s what I’m going to do. So, I’ll do my best girl and I’ll be thinking about you, and your strong will, your loyalty, your determination, and your beautiful soul.
