Running hills and dreaming of trails in Tennessee

AH! This morning I got back into the swing of things and ran 7 miles. I decided that since I took a few days off and I felt GREAT, why not run hills today? And that is precisely what I did. And while I didn’t run fast, I did run strong, and I got through all those hills and it felt good.

You may be wondering why I am practicing on hills? Besides the fact that I just love to torture myself…Well, I’m getting prepared for running in Tennessee! Hells Yeah! And I have some exciting news about a race I’ll be running there but I’ll post more about that later. In the meantime, check out these killer trails in East Tennessee, this first one is the Urban Wilderness Trail in Knoxville:

I am soooooo excited to get lost in the woods run this trail. Hidden Caves? Hello, it just doesn’t get any better than that. Except for maybe this trail, also located in Tennessee but closer to my Mom. This is Fletcher Park, Cleveland, Tennessee’s hidden jewel and my Mom didn’t even know about it so I am stoked to go exporing and find it. Check out these pics…
